It's funny Mr. Shahram Razavi si breaking the rules of World is round, they say you can only upload your own pix and yet i saw one of my pic there, most of the other pix are from Tehran24..
We have whole African villages in the south ;)

I knew there were negroid looking people in the south, but I always figured they would be arabs.

People of southern Iran and the Hormuz area of Iran are described in details by Marco Polo. He says he saw people of dark skin mohammedians and temperature was extremely hot with few oasis. Did he really travel there or he just collected stories about them? hmm

chok gech, in the area you described the native population are generally dark skinned caucasoids (as per the picture) and there is a more recent sub saharan african element descended from 17th c portuguese slaves - IIRC Herodotus also noted blacks in the area, namely nubian types who he said were granted some sort of refuge by an Achaemenid king.
