..Hi KK….
..thanks for the ‘Cooder clips’, rather enjoyed all of them although as you already know, I am more of a ‘rock and metal freak’!!!!….which brings me to the Korean metal stuff….and pretty good it was to….i think it was the first clip which impressed me, what a great venue and the size of the crowd!!!…..great stuff…..i got all nostalgic for my old ‘rock festival days’!!!!!….the vocals are an acquired taste but overall, but all the wailing and screaming and guitar spanking was in all the right place….heavy enough for me!!!…..the ‘ballad’ song was pretty good, nicely done….excellent vocals and dreamy keyboards….
…..i used to listen to some Japanese metal bands in the 1980’s and this reminded very much of that and being as my mis-spent teenage years were in the early 1980’s, it all sounds banging to these English ears!!!…especially all those pointy head stocks on the guitars, just like my own black beasty of a guitar, bliss….!!!
…Seoul electronic band - Mi In (The Beauty)…this was very good, bit more rougher round the edges and more 'blooz rock'…sounded a bit like Paul Rodgers and touch of Glenn Hughes….great line up of players and guitar work…would have liked to have seen this concert myself!!!….
…Thanks for the links KK, will catch up with some of the others later on tonight…
..all the best….AoO..

A very nice video of a very stirring song...
He is five feet two, and he's six feet four, he fights with missiles and with spears. He is all of thirty-one, and he's only seventeen. He's been a soldier for a thousand years. He's a Catholic, a Hindu, an atheist,a Chein, a Buddhist and a Babtist and a Jew. And he knows,he shouldn't kill and he knows he always will, kill him for me my friend and and me for you. And he's fighting for Canada, he's fighting for France. He's fighting for the U.S.A., and he's fighting for the Russians, and he's fighting for Japan, and he thinks we put an end to war this way. And he's fighting for democracy, he's fighting for the Reds. He says it's for the peace of all. He's the one who must decide, who's to live and who's to die, and he never sees the writing on the wall. But without him, how would Hilter kill the people at Dachau, without him Caesar would have stood alone. He's the one who gives his body as a weapon of the war, and without him all this killing can't go on. He's the universal soldier and he really is to blame, his orders come from far away, no more. They come from here and there, and you and me, and brothers, can't you see, this is not the way we put an end end to war.

Nice. Here is the same song sung by some German girl named, Nico. Dare I say even more chilling than the original? I believe Jim and Nico used to have thing, or an incident. 'Nico Icon', a great docu about her, worth checking out.
Nico - The End (Nico, John Cale, Brian Eno and Phil Manzanera.)
Nico and Iggy Pop - Evening of Light
Snip from the Movie "Nico-Icon"
Here is a 33 min concert footage of Nico
Nico And The Bedlamites Live @ Szene 11/8/87
And I can't end this post about Nico without mentioning her work with the Velvet Underground.

Oh, yeh. I knew some one here would appreciate Can. Because you know, Can can.
I guess that should be enough of crazy Germans for the day. You know I can't get enough of them.
