Topic: Historical revisionism / negationism in t Posted: 23-May-2007 at 17:20 |
Bulldog if you compare Dolma with History then you ......no comment
Seljuks settled in Persia during this period and began to push west into Anatolia at the beginning of the 11th century. The permanent Turkish foothold in Anatolia, the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum , was established after a historic victory at the battle of Manzikert against the Byzantines in 1071.
So my maths say.......600BC-1071 AD=1500 years.
Your maths ......is like Dolma
You are a great example of Historical Revensionist.

I made the comparison to show how ridiculous your being.
Your argueing about the nationality of "GODS" and telling Albanians that they cannot be descendants of ancient people of those lands and that they cannot claim history of their lands.

Yes but there were Turks who were in the region before, the Pechengs, Bulgars and Turkic mercenaries in the Byzantine army.
p.s Foca isn't a Greek city today, the article has nothing to do with nationalism, its about some old re-created boat, what exactly are you shocked with in the article, it says nothing against Greeks.

Here is what the best Greek Byzantinist Peter Charanis says about Albanians:
The native Illyrians and Thracians of the occupied regions retired into the mountains, where they remained unnoticed till the eleventh century, when they emerged as Albanians and Vlachs.

Even if they were illyrians which it isnt proven though the opposite is most likely they are not Epirotes because Epirotes are and were greeks not illyrians.
Fyrom steals a name,Albania steals a name and they both want to change world history by continuing their propaganda type regime indoctrinations they were inflicted upon by totalitarian regimes that kept them in isolation.

Olvois, even more adequate Greek-American scholars like Charanis understand that Albanians are descendants of Illyrians (most likely not directly but by strong mix with coming new populations). This is mostly the problem of many arrogant Greeks who don't want to share the history and cutlture with their neighbours.

True, Greek method of propaganda is much more intelligent. However it is still propaganda. Whoooh, I don't like this word

And the most known historians-archaelogists (Wilkes, Srejovic e.t.c.) have rejected with acadameic works these conclusions.

For example: "So called Wisocko culture considered as slavic culture and the other local Volhynian cultures testify the fusion of slavonic population with the Thracians".
