I thought Hannibal was an alien... how else could he be black and white at the same time?

Not Busch anyway. Neither would I. I've tried it.

Yes I see the resemblance- Hollywood is so accurate when it comes to history -LOL
I would not hold my breath on the accuracy of these images but the Carthaginians were a Canaanite people and I know they were a Semitic race. I do not doubt that there was intermixing between races; Europeans, African blacks, Berbers etc etc. I really doubt it Hannibal was Black because where in any primary source where was he called an Ethiopian or Nubian? These were the common terms used by Greeks and Romans to describe black Africans. It sound to me like you are reading too much biased Afro-centric material like Diop and Martin Bernal.

Hannibal was Phoenician. Please read the first part of the thread.
Hollywood is always wrong. It put Africans leading Viking raids, British blue-eyed Cleopatras, and Mexicans making the role of Nazis in Germany (Antonny Queen).
Never believe in Hollywood.

Looks like the movie "300" in style. More like "Fabricated History Channel."

A black-American played " Othello,the Moor of Venice "
Anjelica Huston portrayed stereotypical Spanish traits of dark hair, eyes, and olive complexion of Catherine of Aragon ( in film ),whom in real life had blue eyes, fair skin, and reddish-blonde hair.

Carthage was a coastal settlement developed by the Phoenicians. It is most likely that Hannibal was of a Phoenician ancestory. It is possible he was a Black African. But in all respect, it doesn't matter.

What is the officer problem?

No, It isn't possible Hannibal was a Black African. There is iconography about him, and his biography is clear in that respect. The only reason why some pseudo-schollars believe he is Black is because he was African. Of course Hannibal was African, but he was descendent of Phoenicians.

That's quite interesting. The Queen Isabella in the movie 1492 was also portrayed by an American actress as a brown pale woman with long face. Sort of gypsy-like appearence. In reality, Isabella was blond light eyed but with round face.
