Unknown. Could have been they were in possession of limited wealth...might have been servants and earned a living or did same through with whatever economic opportunity presented itself.
 
Might have been servants and buried by their employers.....might have been members of a local parish and the parishioners provided it.....unknown. Myriad of possibilities.
