Topic: My trip to Jiroft, a new mysterious civilization! Posted: 29-Nov-2006 at 09:28 |
It seems the whole region of Jiroft has been discovered recently, new villages are found (Village with cavemen discovered at Jiroft heights), there are peoples who speak an unknown language, Jiroft was really the most mysterious place that I have ever seen.
As I mentioned in my several threads about Jiroft, we already know that 5,000 years ago people of this region had their own language and script:
They had their own mythology, it can be seen in their numerous wonderful stoneworks:
I think you can hardly find a building as large as the Great Ziggurat of Jiroft even in modern times!
The largest Egyptian Pyramid vs Ziggurat of Jiroft
I had said these things before, anyway finally I could visit some archaeological sites of Jiroft for the first time, this is my imaginary map of this region:

Simply amazing. What an uncanny resemblence that god/demon has to our modern perception of satan. His modesty has been covered up too!
I hope that the script can be decyphered.

I did some more reading about the Jiroft civilization, because I'm interested in the origins/history of civilization. Some folks ignore the topic of Jiroft; it's understandable; we've spent a lot of time reading history books containing information that they rightfully expect to be correct.

Maybe it is Zahak! I doubt it, though.

I think we'll soon have to start using more specific words to describe which particular site of the Jiroft civilization they talk about. Jiroft was actually a civilization, but we're also using the word to describe a big area containing several sites, distant from each other. 12 sites so far (?) and that's expected to increase, perhaps more than double?
