On July 28, 1540, King Henry VIII of England married Catherine Howard at Oatlands.
The King had managed to get his marriage to Anne of Cleves annulled just a few days before his wedding to Catherine. Henry VIII was 49 and Catherine was about 20.
On July 25, 1541, Queen Catherine Howard gives birth to a son. The Prince is given the name of John. John was named after his great-grandfather, John Howard, 1st Duke of Norfolk.
King Edward VI died on July 6, 1553. He is succeeded by his half-brother, Prince John. John reigns as King John II.

If the child wasn't declared illegitimate due to the rumours about Culpepper. then it is likely that Catherine would have stalled Henry's plans to declare his daughters legitimate heirs. John might have married Elizabeth the daughter of Henry II of France (since she was earlier betrothed to Edward VI).
