Call of Duty is good, but not brilliant. It depends what you are looking for, fun games, serious games, rpg games, party games.
Zelda would be my top choice, its already been voted one of the best games ever. But if you dont like the rpg format then I dont know if you'd like it..
Mario Party is a group game, kind of a social fun game, but you can play it with one or two easily as well.
Call of Duty is average on graphics, but if you want a game for gameplay as opposed fun its worth it. Does anyone know if any final fantasy games are in the pipeline for the wii? It would be interesting to see how they deal with them..

hmm...I really would like an FPS and a Platformer for my Wii. Is it true that the controls for the Wii on COD3 are screwed up?

My brother actually installed all of the original nintendo games, which consists of more than 400 classics, onto my laptop, so i get the chance to play them in my dorm, or where ever else.
But yea, Aster, Metroid Prime 3 basically consist of killing the badguys and saving the galaxy or universe. The original "Metroid" from the first nintendo console is a classic among classics. I have all of the Zelda games as well, my favorite being the ocarina of time.

How is the wii? it looks pretty fun. However, so did gamecube and besides Metroid prime, Zelda, Mario and soul caliber...It pretty much collected dust.

I'm scheming on getting one too. I'm just a little concerned about all this stuff that people say about the controls.
Penelope, are you using a program called "project 64" to play N64 games on your laptop? I do that all the time - I even got a USB Controller so that I could play Mario 64 like in the good old days...

I have no idea what the actual name of the program is, my brother says its a video game "emulater", which allows you to play all of the games that were created for the first nintendo console, and 64.

Yes - there are loads of those. All the contents of the cartrages are downloaded into .ROM files (or something like that). The emultor confligures your CPU and Graphics card to act like the console for a while. But it's never as good as playing it on the origional machine because computers obviously aren't designed to play N64 games! Glitches are common. Be warned though - if you try and get an emulator of a console that's more powerful that your computer (XboX 360, PS3), then it's likely that it won't work or it will screw your computer up.

Yes, the console is WAYYY better i agree, and im definately not gonna try to go any higher than what i already have on the computer, for fear of doing any damage.

...Good choice. But I love being able to have an N64, SNES and Playstation on my computer as well as ordinary PC games. But I've come to the conclusion that if you really want to game, you need a console - computers have lag, they upgrade them at a ridiculous speed. In a console, all of the processing power goes to the game and you can be assued that for around 4 years you will be able to play good quality, up to date games.
