......... and other explosives had never been invented missles, nitroglycerine, etc. How do you think history would be affected? what would armies look like?, what sort of technological advances would have been made? how what would technology be like today?. Post your thoughts and be realistic.

How does it (even slightly) support the speculation about present-day weaponry if gun powder were unknown?? Judgements of this kind simply don't belong to 'serious speculative' discussions.

So what do you think the world would look like? I think we would still have the cataphract I'm not sure about the knight he might still be around but this time as a professional soldier because feudalism is outdated. It would be way cool to see the american revolution wihtout gunpowder I think it be cool to see American longbowmen and horse archers against the redcoat pikemen

Still have cataphracts? No way. Especially since the introduction of laser surgery. They can be removed in same day surgery.
