I am not an expert either, but I am pretty sure it is Tai-Kadai. There are debates on whether Tai-Kaidai has its roots planted in Austronesian, Austroasiatic, or Sino-Tibetan language families.
Well. It's not supposed to have a lot of Chinese loan words in theory. The point was primarily about the grammar, not vocabulary. That is the main criteria for language groups classifications.
