Ours is in Chile is the Condor, although shared with other countries of the Andes.

However, llamas are just part of the Andes landscape, and known worldwide.

Well ours (Australia) is generally considered as being the Kangaroo, though and Emu is also featured on the coat-of-arms.

Here in Ireland we don't have a national animal per se but before the Euro our old pounds and pence had on them images of animals that are native to the country.

A bird for us - the Swallow: They often fly extremely low over peoples heads even. Fast and manuverable buggers at that aswell.

He's also highly recocnizable from the air:

We have three lions on our coat of arms and coins aswell who are officially Leopards, go figure! Although a leopard nor a lion is our national symbol.

The Estonian agricultural minister announced the contest for electing the "national fish" some time ago, don't know if it ever got anywhere, hope not.Dead
