Sad part about Chinese history is that Chinese kill each other in countless number. That is most ignored fact.
 
While ignoring their own mass killers death toll, most Chinese tend to blame everything on  Japanese Army. It means it is just political game in most cases.
 
Recently i have finished reading biography of Mao Ze Dong and also Chiang Kai Shik. You can easily find that human life was so cheap at that time in China.

Why? The Romans did it. They weren't bloodthirsty animals and they didn't enjoy violence. They killed very coldly. If their commander ordered it, they'd kill just about anyone. All in the name of the republic. And they'd wipe out whole populations in the process.

Not that this is ok but that it isn't unheard of.
