Considering that during the actual invasion peroid, UK lost more troops to US fire than to Iraqi fire, it does seem to be a recuring problem. Or more recently that Italian who got shot at, and a Bulgarian patrol too.
I meant it in jest, but it seems to go hand in hand with helping the US.

During the 1st gulf War too, the Americans killed more British soldiers than the Iraqis.

I dont think freindly fire is worse now than its ever been, its just that in such lopsided wars the casualties for the superior power is less and thus the freindly fire stand out more.
