There are between Arabs and Africans in Darfur  alliance and merging makes complex social map, it is difficult to separate the components and make it difficult to talk about ethnic purity. Among these are from African tribes speak Arabic and mixed with Arabs Masalit tribe and, in turn become Altengeor tribe with Arabic roots closer to the African tribes. Lived nomadic groups and semi-volatile and pastoral farmers in Darfur in perfect harmony since ancient times, and there are relationships between marriage which, traditionally nomadic groups move during periods of drought to areas after farmers reaping the benefits, and this process will be organized at local agreements between tribes, though not without-in times of drought and desertification - some repeated skirmishes between nomads and farmers in a narrow range.

 

Darfur was in the past Kingdom of independent Islamic . last Sultan was  "Ali dinar " The Kingdom's own currency, flag and govern the Kingdom under the federal government governs the tribal leaders areas, and these Alfdraliat independent till end of the Ottoman era. Darfur people went through the Ottoman rule, which lasted for approximately 10 years of resistance to the technique and form of princes and dignitaries governments were responsible for the leadership of the unified army Darfur, which was launched raids against the Ottoman army also witnessed Darfur several revolutions of the most famous revolutionary power "Haroun", which wiped out "Gordon Pasha" in 1877. when the outbreak of the revolution Mahdia happened, princes and the leaders of darfur support the Mahdi. Darfur remained independent in most periods of history, but at the outbreak of World War endorsed by the Ottoman authority, which used to represent the Islamic caliphate, which angered the Governor of Sudan and eventually led to the fall of the Ottoman and annexation of the Sudan year 1917. Because Darfur was Islamic Sultanate over history, it was natural that there are religious schools for teaching the Koran and Islamic Sharia disinfectants were sent many sons of Darfur to Al Azhar to receive science devoted "vestibule Darfur" in Al-Azhar, which led to a renaissance of cultural and intellectual contributed to the unity of the tribes.
